10 - A Walk Thru the Park

6/26 As we began our day and walked to the park, we heard talk about how hot the weather was. After several hours waiting for "hot" weather, we realized that it was hot--to the locals. For us drought stricken Okies, it was a heavenly mid 80s, with a slight overcast sky. Yet the humidity was a bit high--sweating while you feel cool--strange. We wondered at the large crowds inside the park--sometimes shoulder to shoulder. Then we heard about the special visitor. Johnny Depp and fellow cast members of Pirates of C movie were there and inside the PofC ride. Thank you Johnny for the crushing crowds. Interestingly, Cora slowly began to warm up to the whole ride experience. Soon, we were standing in lines for thrills and chills. Oh yeah!
